Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, a musician's daughter from Mexico was born into a music-loving family. Growing up, she listened to lots of classical music and older Boleros. She also listened to the traditional romance ballads as well as ranchero. Ana is a fan of Tangos. Additionally, she enjoys operas as well as any theatrical performance. When she was a child, her mother would sing with her, she started more serious training in singing at 16, under the direction of renown Mexican Tenor FlavioBecerra. Her musical education continued at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and afterwards to the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. In her early career, she saw her perform with many chamber ensembles and opera choruses and chamber groups in Guadalajara. Following her move from Mexico to America at the age of 2000, she sang for the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. She currently is a part of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and is a frequent solo performer with the traditional Latin American music at private performances. As a musician and teacher Ana is a dedicated participant in many projects in the community due to her enthusiasm and love for music. Ana is also an active member of the Community Chorus of Redlands as well as the Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana is privileged to be able to bring to others her passion for the tradition of Latin American music. She hopes that this will help younger generations keep the tradition alive.
